M.Sc. in Digital Deep Tech Driven Circular Economy

The University of the Aegean offers two Master’s programmes in Digital Deep Tech Driven Circular Economy: M.Sc. and M.Sc. by Research.

Both programmes are offered by the University of the Aegean, School of Social Sciences, Department of Cultural Technology and Communication.

The M.Sc. focuses on the connection between digital technologies and circular economy principles. It helps learners develop applied skills for green and digital transformation.

Applicants are expected to hold a Bachelor’s degree and have sufficient English proficiency to follow a postgraduate programme delivered in English.

Yes. The programme is delivered through distance learning with online teaching, digital platforms and academic support.

The language of instruction and assessment is English.

The programme is structured across 3 academic semesters (18 months).

The programme requires 90 ECTS credits in total.

Semester 1: Foundations in digital circular economy, digital product passports, EU compliance, AI and robotics.

Semester 2: Advanced courses and electives in digital technologies, circular systems and sustainability.

Semester 3: MSc Thesis.

Eligible applicants from countries participating in the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) may be exempt from tuition fees, subject to official programme rules.

DEP countries include EU Member States and associated countries.

Applicants from DEP countries may be eligible for tuition-fee exemption. All applicants still need to pay the application fee and, if selected, the registration fee.

Yes. Applicants from non-EU or non-DEP countries can apply. If accepted, they will need to pay tuition fees.

Application fee: €100 (non-refundable).

Registration fee: €500 (non-refundable).

Non-DEP tuition fees: €5,000.

The Expression of Interest period is expected to remain open until the end of June.

The official application process is expected to open after accreditation is completed.

Candidates will receive further information about the application process, required documents, eligibility and next steps.

Yes. Each M.Sc. programme has 250 available places.

The programme is expected to start in the first week of October.
