Distance learning

Educational Process Organization

The courses of the MSc program may be taught 100% through distance learning, based on the total number of teaching hours of the MSc program.

If the educational process is carried out using asynchronous distance learning methods, these may not exceed twenty-five percent (25%) of the credit units of the M.Sc. program (paragraph 1, article 88, Law 4957/2022), and the percentage will be determined by decision of the Assembly following a recommendation by the Special Committee. The evaluation process for students per educational activity may be carried out through written or oral examinations conducted in person or through written or oral examinations conducted using distance learning methods, as well as alternative methods, such as the submission of assignments, practical tests, etc.

The technological equipment required for each student to attend the program and be assessed is a computer with internet access, equipped with a microphone, speaker, and camera, which can be adjusted based on technological developments.

The specific terms and conditions for organizing postgraduate programs using synchronous and asynchronous distance learning methods, as well as issues related to the organization of the educational process using distance learning methods, are set out in the Regulations for Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies at the University of the Aegean (Government Gazette 4551/B/17.07.2023).
