Researcher
Hilmy Baja is an early-career researcher, currently doing his PhD on AI, Reinforcement Learning and crop modelling on optimizing fertilization decision making. He is doing the PhD under the guidance of Prof.Dr. Ioannis Athanasiadis and Dr. Michiel Kallenberg. He was trained as an electrical engineer, holding a BSc from Universität Duisburg-Essen and University of Indonesia, then shifted focus to agriculture and data science, holding an MSc from Wageningen University & Research. He is currently involved in the EU Horizon Smart Droplets project, where he works on AI and Digital Twins for resource optimization in the context of precision and smart agriculture.
