Η Μαρία Μπουλουκάκη είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου Περιβαλλοντικής Μηχανικής από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών και μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου στη Διαχείριση Βιώσιμων Περιβαλλοντικών Αλλαγών και Κυκλική Οικονομία από το Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας. Το ακαδημαϊκό και επαγγελματικό της έργο περιλαμβάνει τη διαχείριση πόρων και αποβλήτων, τον σχεδιασμό κτιρίων μηδενικών αποβλήτων και μελέτες για τα συστήματα νερού, ενέργειας και τροφίμων. Στη Zelus, διαχειρίζεται έργα της ΕΕ που προωθούν τη βιωσιμότητα και την κυκλική οικονομία μέσω ψηφιακών εργαλείων.
